Ultra High Speed Diode Bridge
We replace the stock noisy/glary/grainy rectifiers with very low impedance ultra fast
rectifiers. These are absolute superior to the stock diodes rectifiers, removing the glare,
grain and grit from the sound and video and allowing you to realize a much cleaner audio
performance! !
Ultra Low Impedance Rubycon Capacitor Replacements
These capacitors are much more open sounding, very neutral and have more speed than
any other cap on the market. The Rubycons offer sheer speed and openness unlike any
other cap.
Re-wire the AC input, Re-engineer the power supply board
This brings more resolution, better defined and deeper bass and more sonic character.
This is the final tuning of the supply to make sure the sound is balanced on the output end.
Internal Soundcoat Damping-
Apply Soundcoat damping material to specific areas of the lid and cd transport tray to
minimalize the amount of internal vibrations and ringing.
Balanced/Single Ended Output stage Rebuild
Completely REMOVE the stock Esound discrete analog output stage (many active
parts) and replace entirely with passive very high quality Audio Signal Coupling
Transformers.
The stock Esound output stage is mediocre in build and rather decent in sound quality. However, there
are MANY ACTIVE parts in the signal path, such as op-amps and transistors. There are also many
resistors in the signal path as well. This is not the most optimal topology for signal coupling and HF
filtering.
Our approach is simple and instantly effective for the best sound:
Completely remove the entire active analog output stage, and replace it with a set of very high quality
Audio Signal Coupling transformers! We now have true balanced outputs! Now with the transformers we
can now effectively and inherently provide galvanic isolation from other components in your system. The
transformer stops High Frequency noises that occur from other components in your system. The also
provide a means of connect the Balanced outputs and RCA single ended outputs at the same time, with
both having similar sonic attributes. The noise floor in your music drops to a complete dark and black
level. More detail comes out of the music. The soundstage appears much larger, wider deeper with a
bold lifelike stance. Our approach is considered "state of the art" and this mod will easily alone take the
performance of this machine alone to a level that is unattainable by just about any stock player in
existence. We wire the transformers to the XLR jacks and the RCA single ended jacks.

Long time has come as we have tried to find a stock unit that exhibits the best potential for a audio
modification rebuild. My criteria requires minimal diode bridges, excellent transport mechanism,
very close and tight digital circuitry, clock feeds direct to servo and a great DAC chip. No stock unit

Esound fills my personal goals and demands for the perfect player to modify and make sound

Qty: (3) DEXA UWB (Ultra Wide Bandwidth) Ultra Low Noise Voltage Regulators-
The UWB Regulator is a high end replacement to the main (3) OEM 7805 +5vdc voltage
regulators used to regulate DC voltage in the Esound. Unfortunately the OEM 7805
regulators have very poor noise performance. Especially if there are external noise sources
around the OEM regulators, like ripple or load fluctuations. In comparison to all the OEM
regulators, the UWB's have more than 100 times better ripple rejection, 10 times lower
noise, and no line and load regulation error. The result is a drastic improvement across the
entire spectrum and more dynamic range.
DEXA Clock Reference Clock Upgrade-
The OEM Esound master clock is a basic pierce oscillator which feeds directly into the ASIC
(DSP) chip . Phase noise and power supply injected noise here is high affecting all audio
formats with "jitter". The DEXA clock has an extremely low phase noise oscillator (around
1.5 picoseconds Jitter RMS) and dramatically improves all areas of playback. The ultra-low
jitter and noise performance of the D-Clock immediately releases impressive sound quality
& shifts the players tonality to remove hardness & harshness; the overall frequency range
is more natural and unforced. Lower frequencies on playback have greater impact, weight
and control. Greater dimension is added to music and movies, vocals and instruments
having improved spatial qualities with a more solid, palpable feel. The DEXA clock has a
very unique function of isolating the clock signal ground to the power supply ground, so
there is no ground loop, and also there is no Mains Noise injection for the cleanest clock
signal possible.
The DEXA D-Clock now eliminates the need for a dedicated (and costly) external
dedicated power supply due to its inherent mains/ground isolation topologies.

feature, unlike other clocks on the market, as the clock signal is isolated from the power
